Project Manager
Though Rob is a Project Manager for Gunkel Architecture, he is a builder at heart. From the first car he built as a teenager, he has always enjoyed the challenge to create things of value from good ideas and hard work. An interest in fine arts as a child, combined with encouragement to pursue a paying career through drafting lead Rob to a career in architecture. He has over 35 years of experience collaborating with many talented teams on a vast array of project types. Although his focus has shifted toward residential projects with Gunkel Architecture, Rob has a lot of experience working on hotels, including the Ritz Carlton Kapalua on Maui, where he lived for a year as a part of the construction team. Outside work, Rob derives great satisfaction from preparing meals for friends and family, and sometimes imagines his career as a chef in an alternate universe.
